Hero's On Bikes & So Much More!!
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be asked to return to the KPMG Hospitality tent to entertain the riders at Base Camp in Hamilton. Princess Margaret Hospital's Ride To Conquer Cancer is an event that's very close to my heart and carries even more special meaning for me this year!
These riders leave Toronto on Saturday morning and arrive at McMaster University in the afternoon. Hundreds of riders all riding to raise dollars towards Cancer research. They camp out Saturday night and leave Sunday morning for the 2nd leg of their journey to Niagara Falls.
This is my 7th year involved with the ride and I was happy to have the talented Asher Horowitz at my side once again. I was greeted by several of the riders who went out of their way to let me know how happy they were that I was healthy and back in fine voice.
These people are truly heroic, in my mind, and I'm grateful for the time they put in for such a great cause. As Captain Peter Heimler always says, these are great Canadians!!!
Now, this coming weekend I'll be bringing back The Theodore Horner Combo to a new place. Barrafion (1505 Guelph Line) in Burlington. This is a cool trendy spot with awesome food and a hip vibe! Matt and I will be mixing up the selection to include everything from Elton John to The Beatles to some Classic R&B. We play from 8-11pm.
Then, on Sunday the 16th, I'll be celebrating Father's Day at Timothy's Pub (344 Brown's Line) with The Sunday Sinners! Timothy's is always such a good time and generally a full house. So, get there early and be ready to dance your shoes off. Show time is 5-9pm!
See you somewhere, sometime!!
Peace
